Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Medicine is seeking an motivated Administrative Officer to provide high-level executive and operational support to senior leadership, including the Department Chair, Dean, and/or Chief Administrative Officer. Under general direction, this role performs complex professional and analytical work in support of departmental priorities. Responsibilities include reviewing and synthesizing reports and data, conducting special studies and projects, and supporting a wide range of administrative and operational initiatives-often with department-wide, cross-functional, and/or significant financial impact.
The Administrative Officer prepares clear, effective written reports and presents findings and recommendations to senior leadership, as well as internal and external stakeholders. This position requires both broad and in-depth knowledge of administrative principles, strong analytical capabilities, and a thorough understanding of organizational policies and procedures. The incumbent is expected to independently apply a variety of management analysis techniques to evaluate processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and support strategic decision-making.
Hourly range: $32.20-$51.36
