Summary: The incumbents primary responsibility is to oversee the daily technical and administrative functions of the individual laboratory section(s) within their division(s) to ensure operations are consistent with the goals of the Department and consistent with the mission of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. The Associate Administrative Director is responsible for assisting, leading, and overseeing the Divisions overall operations, and technical services, maintaining regulatory compliance, managing personnel, and all fiscal affairs. In addition, the incumbent, along with the respective clinical directors, will facilitate the development and implementation of strategies to drive revenue growth, execute business plans as well as promote and raise the department profile and brand equity. He or She will ensure effective and regular communication with all stakeholders as well as work on the development and maintenance of performance improvement programs that promote patient, employee and physician satisfaction. The incumbent will serve as the technical resource for and ensure implementation of all regulatory requirements associated with laboratory Licensure. He/she will be a Big Picture Thinker with the ability to execute.
