Talascend is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for a contract opportunity with our client in Orlando, Florida.

Overview

The Administrative Assistant I will serve as the face of the company at the front desk, supportingvarious administrative functions and ensuring smooth office operations. This role involves greeting visitors, managing communication, and maintaining administrative records.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and employees and provide assistance.
  • Provide excellent customer service, sort, and distribute mail, answer multi-line phones, and direct calls.
  • Complete general administrative duties including making copies, filing, faxing, scanning, maintaining visitor logs, posting, and scheduling conference rooms.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office to prepare and maintain documents, and ensure supplies are ordered and stocked.
  • Activate customer badges, take badge photos, request badges from facilities, monitor badge expirations, and control access permissions.
  • Assist with work overflow and serve as backup for vacation and absence coverage.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No previous experience required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Very detail oriented with effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Good customer service skills, reliable attendance, and ability to work overtime
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
