    Role Overview

    The Senior Administrative Assistant manages a wide range of administrative and executive support tasks to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the department. The role coordinates department calendars, prepares and distributes correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations, and keeps scheduled activities running on time.

    The position also manages travel logistics and expense reporting for department leadership, monitors and screens email, mail, and telephone communications, and supports special projects as needed. Success in the role calls for strong organization, close attention to detail, and the judgment to prioritize competing demands.

    Core Responsibilities

    1. Coordinates department calendars and manages all scheduled activities.
    2. Prepares, edits and distributes correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, etc., as required.
    3. Arranges and actively manages all travel logistics for department leadership. Prepares expense reports and ensures submission in timely manner.
    4. Monitors, screens and assists in managing email, mail and telephone communications.
    5. Assists with special projects as needed.

    Required Background

    1. Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    2. Minimum 5 years' experience in administrative role
    3. Excellent knowledge of Word Processing software, Internet software, and Spreadsheet software
    4. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
    5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    6. Ability to prioritize and multi-task
