Reporting to the Program Manager, the Secretary III provides administrative and clerical services in support of engineering department operations. This is a contingent position expected to be located in Mayport, FL.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare, transcribe, transfer, systemize and preserve written and computerized communications and records.
  • Gather and distribute information.
  • Operate office machines; store, distribute, account for stores of material.
  • Support projects requiring research and preparation of briefings charts and other presentation materials.
  • Operate computerized business systems for the purpose of data entry and mining of business systems for the administration of ship repair and gathering performance metrics.
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, charts and graphs.
  • Prepare meeting minutes and presentations, file and records management, enter, update and retrieve information utilizing automated systems.
  • Prepare correspondence, instructions and memorandums.
  • Assist in material ordering, pickup and delivery of supplies.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:
  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • HS Diploma required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience supporting a full range of administrative and clerical support services.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of PowerPoint, Fleet Technical Support (Formerly TAAS-Info), Business Objects and (MRQT) Material Requirements tool.
  • Familiarity with Supervisory Desk (SUPDESK) and Navy Maintenance Database (NMD).
  • Must possess a current and active Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification:
    • MOS Associate
    • MOS Master
    • MOS Expert
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
  • The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
