Job Description:
Serves as primary radio dispatcher for campus parking patrollers:
- Dispatch campus-wide parking complaints by radio or telephone to the appropriate personnel for resolution
- Maintain knowledge of all parking facilities and parking designations
- Address questions from parking patrollers related to their enforcement duties
- Coordinate the release of impounded vehicles with field personnel
- Facilitate resolutions for campus wide parking complaints
Provides back-end office support for enforcement:
- Maintain knowledge of UF rules and regulations pertaining to issuing of parking citations
- Distribute handwritten citation booklets for parking patrollers, UFPD and UF Health; manually enter handwritten citations returned after issuance and maintain these citations for records in accordance with UF guidelines
- Void citations as authorized by TAPS administrators and designated UFPD staff
- Support field and office staff in LPR management
- Maintain an accurate log of all radio transmissions and parking complaints
Researches customer accounts utilizing AIMS, DAVID, and other sources:
- Conduct appropriate research into customer accounts
- Use knowledge and research to determine whether vehicles should be impounded
- Contact the responsible party by telephone or email for any vehicle required to be relocated for various reasons
Responsible for impounds carried out by TAPS:
- Conduct the research
- Confirm the boot/tow has been executed
- Complete the process by entering the appropriate information into the system and notifying the customer via best available method
Liaise between enforcement and customer service:
- Responsible for keeping customer service representatives informed about upcoming parking events, lifts, or special situations to ensure all parties have the necessary operational knowledge throughout the day
Equipment maintenance:
- Assist the parking patrol supervisor in ensuring that all equipment is operational and properly maintained
Additional duties as assigned:
- Develop reports, handle special assignments and other related duties as assigned
- Provide backup and assistance to Event Coordinator as needed
Valid Florida driver's license is Required
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:
- Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
Expected Salary:
$19.00 to $20.00 Hourly based on experience
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to handle multiple calls effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Experience with radio communications and Alpha codes
- Ability to read and quickly interpreting campus maps, both paper and online
