The principal challenges include assuring that sound Environmental, Safety, and Health Management systems are in place; anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling safety and health hazards; providing expert input into problem-solving and implementation relative to those hazards; and monitoring and continually improving the performance of Health and Safety Management Systems.
