Position Responsibilities: • Accounting for purchases, receipts, transfers, and consumption of materials and company-owned inventory • Performs month-end close procedures to ensure inventory balances are calculated correctly • Reviews and posts journal entries for inventory movements into the General Ledge • Ensures company costing methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average) are accurately applied to arrive inventory value • Calculates reserves for E&O (excess & obsolete) and slow-moving inventory • Performs inventory & material analyses required by GAAP, CAS, FAR, or other authoritative and regulatory bodies, such as Lower of Cost or Market Analysis, Purchase Price Variance, Scrap, inventory reserves, etc. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CMA, CPA, or MBA preferred) • Minimum 10+ years of material and inventory accounting experience in a manufacturing environment or similar • Strong knowledge of material accounting, inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting • Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence operational outcomes • Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
