Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accountant II in Los Angeles, CA. Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accountant II to support revenue accounting, contract analysis, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role is responsible for analyzing licensing agreements, preparing journal entries, performing revenue recognition and trial balance reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. The ideal candidate has strong general accounting fundamentals, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

Analyze licensing agreements, payment terms, and related accounting activity
Perform revenue recognition and revenue-related analysis
Complete month-end and quarter-end close activities
Prepare journal entries for general ledger posting
Perform trial balance and account reconciliations
Analyze foreign exchange variances and financial results
Perform actual versus forecast and plan analysis
Prepare intercompany and related-party reporting
Support bad debt analysis, cash reconciliations, and revenue-share reporting
Review accounting transactions for accuracy and completeness
Support GAAP, statutory, internal, and external audits
Ensure compliance with SOX controls and accounting policies
Maintain supporting schedules and documentation
Assist with reporting, testing, and accounting process improvements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of accounting experience
Strong general accounting background with an understanding of debits and credits
Experience with revenue recognition
Strong account and trial balance reconciliation experience
Experience preparing journal entries
Month-end and quarter-end close experience
Experience analyzing large and complex financial datasets
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines
Ability to work overtime when required

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA certification or CPA candidate
SAP General Ledger experience
Oracle Fusion experience
Entertainment, media, or content licensing experience
Experience using advanced ERP and financial reporting systems

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
