Maintenance Mechanic I Westlake CorpMaintenance Mechanic ICOUse hand and power tools, welding equipment, drill press, and other related industrial repair equipment Demonstrate manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude Good communication skills and ability to read, speak, write English (bilingual Spanish helpful) Ability to observe, identify, deduce and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions Quick learner and ability to work under minimal supervision Math skills and computer skills Industrial electrical skills preferred EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Associates Degree and/or post-high school technical training highly desired, or equivalent experience 2 + years of related experience required - in a manufacturing environment preferred 2 + years tearing down and rebuilding presses 2 + exp with tooling and dies ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee should possess the ability to: Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out Prolong standing or in stationary position Complete repetitive movements Bend and/or twist Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds Ability to move or traverse about the facilities Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection) This is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of job related responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions.
