Overview: The YMCA of Central New Mexico Swim Team coach provides leadership in the preparation, planning, and operation of swim team practices, builds effective, authentic relationships with swimmers and parents, give swimmers knowledge to understand and master strokes allowing for movement up through the swim team age groups and provide corrective feedback that will enhance swimmers' techniques. They also ensure the safety of swimmers at practice by following proper precautions and regulations, follows guidelines for practices and swim meets, leads practices of the swim group(s) with care and excitement, guides swimmers during swim meets, and assists with scheduling swimmers for races and meets.
