Essential Responsibilities: ⢠Build a high-performance team ⢠Build and lead a high-performance team of labor law and employee benefits specialists ⢠Enable long-term development of lawyers and potentially other legal professionals, creating a talent pool for the next generation of diverse legal department leadership ⢠Build and expand on the subject matter expertise of the team by modeling, promoting, and supporting cross-training, mentoring, and skills development ⢠Manage the labor and employee benefits law practice group ⢠Supervise the Labor Law and Employee Benefits team ⢠Lead teams of attorneys and labor relations clients on high impact projects and matters ⢠Lead litigation strategy for labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, and civil actions ⢠Manage high risk and advice work by Market as appropriate ⢠Manage budget for labor arbitrations and other dispute matters ⢠Develop and implement strategic vision for the labor practice group ⢠Develop, implement, and communicate a strategic vision for the delivery of labor and employee benefits advice that is integrated with Kaiser Permanentes overarching strategic business and labor relations direction ⢠Implement strategies by Market to promote sustainable relations with KP unions ⢠Serve as a trusted advisor ⢠Serve as strategic thought partner to the Senior Vice President, Labor and Employment Law, on labor strategy and implementation, labor disputes, and other complex labor law matters ⢠Serve as labor law and strategy advisor to senior leadership ⢠Serve as advisor and thought partner on employee benefits matters.
