SUMMARY OF POSITION
Directs maintenance crews in the installation, repair and preventive maintenance of equipment used throughout the plant,facilities,utilitiesand powerhouse equipment.Oversees maintenance of processesin order toreduce mechanicaldowntime and keep product flows and production lines running at maximum efficiency.

Leads teams of Maintenance Mechanics in predictive & preventative maintenance and machinerepair.
Responsible for the development,implementationand day to day supervision of maintenance systems,processes and documentation associated with efficient and High Performing Manufacturing Organizations(Prevention and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, SOP’s, Safety, etc.).
Ensures maintenance is scheduledin a timely mannerand works closely with Production to schedule andaccomplishequipment and facility repairs.
Develops and/ormaintainsKey Performance Indicators for tracking and reporting the performance of themaintenance function (supplier performance, 3rd party contractor performance, equipment reliability, overallequipment effectiveness, etc.)
Provideslong termsolutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues withtroubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc.
Trains employeesonproper work methods and safety procedures.
Ensures tasks are completedin accordance withFDA regulations.
Maintainsaccuraterecords of maintenance work performed and inventory.
Provides regular status reports tomaintenancemanagement team.
In the absence of keypersonnelthe employee’s supervisor or qualifieddesignee(one that has been trained inthe keyemployee'sduties) is responsibleto completeordelegatethe completion of all required tasks andresponsibilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
High School diploma or GED and 2+ years of maintenance or process/project engineeringexperience;.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent Excel skills and database knowledge.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineeringandpreviousleadershipexperience,preferred.
Advanced technical skills in HVAC,high and low pressureboiler systems, compressed air, mechanical and electricalfields (e.g.Schematics, PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering, etc.), dust collection systems, andis abletolead resource planning efforts in a large manufacturing environment, preferred.
Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM,inventory and scheduling software, preferred.
Strong leadership skills (conflict resolution, facilitation, change management skills, decision making, empowermentand delegation), preferred.
Able toleadproblem solving and troubleshooting efforts associated with high-level process issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Provides leadership and guidance to employees in the Maintenance Department.
Carries out supervisory responsibilitiesin accordance withthe organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints andassistingin providingappropriate resolutions.
Salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000 annually with a target bonus.
