Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a fast-paced cardiac unit requiring KY or compact RN license, 2 years acute care experience, and NIHSS certification.

Details

  • Cardiac Telemetry/Mixed Acuity unit with 59 total beds
  • Patient ratio of 4-6:1
  • Night shift, 1845-0715, three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend required
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • RN reads telemetry and titrates cardiac medications including milrinone, dobutamine, heparin, and amiodarone
  • Common diagnostic procedures include cardiac catheterization and stress testing
  • Equipment used includes dynamaps and telemetry monitors

Requirements

  • Active KY or compact RN license required
  • BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years acute inpatient RN experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Perform patient assessments, care planning, and evaluation of clinical interventions
  • Provide patient and family education throughout care and at discharge
  • Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serve as a mentor/preceptor
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family needs
  • Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
  • No local rate drop for candidates residing nearby
