Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Acute Renal Care position requiring 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Acute Renal Care unit with 34 beds
  • Patient ratio of 4-5:1
  • Renal-focused unit treating ESRD and peritoneal dialysis patients
  • Common medications include heparin drip and insulin
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Night shift schedule from 6:45pm-7:15am
  • Works 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
  • Required to work every other weekend

Requirements

  • Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
  • BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient RN telemetry experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Perform dialysis assessments, PCA management, feeding tube care, and wound vac care
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and patient families
  • Mentor and precept staff while delegating tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel
  • Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
  • No local rate reduction for candidates residing nearby
