Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 32-bed Ortho & Spine unit requiring 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • 32-bed Ortho & Spine unit
  • 6:1 patient ratio
  • Night shift, 18:45-07:15, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Patient diagnoses include ortho, spine, and general medicine cases
  • Medication management includes pain management and insulin
  • RN reads telemetry but does not perform titration
  • APRN support available with self-scheduling
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active KY or compact RN license required
  • BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Skilled in CPAP, PCA, feeding tubes, wound vac, and trach care

Additional Information

  • Perform patient assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by condition
  • Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions
  • Provide patient and family education specific to care needs and discharge planning
  • Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff, functioning as a mentor or preceptor
  • Promote teamwork and participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
  • Comply with regulatory standards and participate in practice governance
