Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Tele) travel position requiring 18 months of experience and float flexibility across facilities.

Details

  • PCU/Telemetry unit within the Internal Float Pool
  • Handles ED border patients within specialty; may float between Decatur and Hillandale facilities as needed within a 15-mile radius
  • Staff notified of their assigned working location prior to each shift
  • AM shift, 3x12s, 36 hours per week
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active GA or Compact RN license required in hand
  • Minimum of 18 months of recent nursing experience required
  • BLS certification required

Additional Information

  • Provide telemetry-level nursing care to progressive care patients, including ED border patients
  • All time off requests must be submitted upfront prior to assignment start
  • Maximum of 5 RTO days allowed if not near a holiday; maximum of 3 days if RTO falls on or near a holiday
  • Only one holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
  • Former Emory or Houston perm staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
