Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience with telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills.

Details

  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
  • Schedule requires working every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)
  • 13-week contract
  • Patient care includes telemetry monitoring and management of IV insulin protocols and insulin drips

Requirements

  • Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Previous telemetry experience required
  • Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips required
  • Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills required
  • 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as a second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

  • Local candidates are accepted
  • Former employees of this facility are eligible to apply once they have been away for 6 months or more
  • Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
  • Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting the position — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to a fingerprinting location or complete a mailed packet urgently upon receipt
