Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Every other/third weekend required. Floating within the healthcare system as needed.

  • Diverse case mix including burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries
  • Specialized procedures including burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy
  • Access to comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • First-time travelers accepted with manager review and approval
  • Multiple parking options available ranging from budget-friendly to premium convenience

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown nursing experience
  • Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
  • Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, blood product administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation
  • Experience with central line care, arterial line management, PICC lines, and insulin drip titration
  • Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or director)
  • Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
