Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, rotating weekdays and weekends with rotating holiday coverage

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) in hand at time of application
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Proficiency in neurological skills including blood product administration, heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, craniotomy care, intracranial bleeds, post-TPA care, and pre/post neurosurgery management
  • Two professional references required: at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference
  • Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
  • Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
