Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct inpatient nursing care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal and critical cardiac arrhythmias
- Float to other units as needed based on operational requirements
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as determined by facility need
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification); up to three attempts permitted under defined remediation guidelines
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Med Surg / Telemetry setting
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills across both adult and pediatric populations
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced inpatient environment
