Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit in an inpatient acute care setting
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks
- Float to other units as needed based on operational requirements
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotation schedules as required
Required Qualifications
- Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start (Adult and Pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher; strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification and heart block questions; maximum of three attempts)
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Med-Surg / Telemetry setting
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills across both adult and pediatric populations
- Experience floating across multiple units within an acute care hospital environment
