- Weekend Coverage: Every other or every third weekend required
- Floating: Float to other units as needed within the organization
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience required
- BLS and ACLS required
- Experience with charting and clinical documentation systems required
- Strong clinical skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, and stepdown care
- Experience supporting burn, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, or oral/maxillofacial patients preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced mixed-acuity hospital environment
- Comfortable with floating and adapting to changing unit needs
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac stepdown setting
- Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition promptly and effectively
- Manage IVs, lines, drips, and other advanced stepdown nursing interventions
- Support patients recovering from complex surgical procedures and specialty care needs
- Perform wound care, burn dressings, flap checks, and other specialized interventions as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols and standards
- Assist with rapid response situations and escalate concerns appropriately
