Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a reliable and professional presence in the O'More College of Architecture & Design, assist the Faculty/Staff with administrative tasks, and serve as the first point of contact by answering phone calls and receiving and assisting visitors.
  • Providing office support assistance to include answering phones, filing, copying, scanning and collating materials.
  • Keeping track of office supplies and inventory of copy paper and notifying the Program Assistant when needing to reorder.
  • Emailing students and faculty about upcoming events
  • Data entry and creating letters from templates using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Well Core program and event assistance.
  • Campus courier

Occasionally requires standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying, reaching both high and low. Frequently requires walking and balancing. Constantly requires sitting, repetitious finger and wrist movement, speaking clearly, hearing conversations, hearing (with acuity), seeing near and far with depth perception and color vision.

Required Qualifications

Student must be reliable, detail oriented, able to work independently, able to interact professionally, a self-starter and motivated to work.

Students are required to maintain confidentiality of all Belmont records.

Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred, but not required.

Required EducationMust be enrolled as a student at Belmont University. Required ExperienceAny previous work experience preferred. Previous office work experience is helpful but not required.
