LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a longestablished commercial construction firm in Northwest Houston to hire a Construction Administrative Assistant. Location: 100% Onsite - Houston, Texas 77040
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 6:30am-4:30pm | Fri 7:00am-11:00am
Employment Type: Direct Hire (TemptoHire also considered)
Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 + Annual Bonus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders
  • Save, track, and distribute executed contracts and documents
  • Enter commitments and project data accurately into Sage 300 CRE
  • Request and track Certificates of Insurance (COIs) from subcontractors
  • Coordinate the company's COIs for general contractors
  • Order projectrelated items
  • Pull permits, schedule inspections, and learn cityspecific processes
  • Prepare safety manuals, SDS sheets, warranty letters, and closeout manuals
  • Enter new jobs, estimates, and GC change orders into Sage Job Cost/Project Management
  • Provide administrative support to the Construction Manager and Job Cost Analyst
  • Assist with general office duties to keep operations running smoothly
Requirements
  • MUST have office administrative experience AND must have worked in a professional office environment
  • 2-3+ years of administrative or project support experience
  • Techsavvy with solid proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF tools like Nitro
  • Reliable and accountable with strong attendance history
  • Strong communicator-able to ask questions, get clarification, and collaborate
  • Selfstarter, proactive, and able to take initiative without constant direction
  • Comfortable working within structured processes and detailed documentation workflows
  • Able to thrive in a sometimes chaotic, fastpaced environment
  • Comfortable working onsite every day with earlymorning hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in construction or manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to processing POs, billing, or project documentation
  • Familiarity with or interest in learning Sage 300 CRE
  • Experience supporting field teams, project managers, or superintendents
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
