Working closely with NOAA leadership, researchers, scientists, program managers, and stakeholders, the ideal candidate combines exceptional writing and editing skills, scientific literacy, and strategic communications expertise to communicate NOAA's research outcomes to policymakers, Congress, the weather enterprise, and the public. Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Science Communication, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science, Meteorology, Public Policy, or related discipline, Minimum six (6) years of professional experience in technical writing, scientific communications, journalism, public affairs, or strategic communications.
