With a staff of interrelated professionals dedicated to providing high-level expertise on complex projects above, below and at ground-level, GZA’s experts provide seamless integration across practice areas, client type, and location. The role will involve working with GZA’s corporate operations teams, business development, and participation in various Technical Practice Areas (TPAs), e.g. the Environmental Site Investigation & Remediation and Due Diligence TPAs.
The ideal candidate brings experience with LR/SLR application and implementation and an optional combination of nuclear engineering programs, field trade experience (e.g., operations or maintenance), work management/scheduling, NRC submittals and/or inspections, and can bridge between technical aging management requirements, work management systems, and field execution. As a key Associate in the Nuclear Power Group (NPG), you will have the opportunity to aid, participate and coordinate engineers and other professionals involved in support of License Renewal (LR) / Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) license extension, and post-approval implementation activities across the U.S. nuclear power fleet.

Provide technical assistance on a wide range of capital infrastructure and other projects including preparation of environmental assessments and environmental impact statements under the National Environmental Policy Act, environmental due diligence services, habitat assessments, wetland delineations and reports, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and other related environmental documents. Conduct tasks related to environmental assessments that include but are not limited to land use planning/facility siting, pipeline and/or transmission line routing studies, renewable energy desktop and field-based environmental assessments and reporting, and development of permit matrices and risk assessments.
Collaborate with other ERM practitioners to execute impact assessment and capital project permitting (ERM services broadly include baseline studies, environmental impact assessment, routing studies, land planning, and facility siting & permitting). Focus primarily on energy-related operations and maintenance, capital development and compliance initiatives, including Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)-regulated projects, midstream oil and gas projects, electric transmission lines and renewable energy projects.
