Manage Strategic Initiatives and Accreditation Records related to EMS: As assigned by the Fire Chief or Deputy Fire Chief, participate in Fire Department special projects and strategic initiatives, including the development and implementation of the strategic plan and long-range strategic initiatives as they relate to the delivery of EMS services. Design quality assurance programs to measure program outcomes and effectiveness through Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) processes and periodically respond to medical emergencies with field providers.

Perform functions of drug procurement, including but not limited to order pharmaceutical products daily from the prime vendor, maintains contact with the prime vendor during storages and reports to pharmacy staff, answer inquiries about stock, help resolve discrepancies concerning pharmaceutical orders, rreceive pharmaceutical products and processing invoices.

Responsibilities for the Pharmacy Technician:

• Prepare patient medication orders for dispensin (includes all patient orders, unit stock, automated dispensing cabinet maintenance, controlled substances, and editing and posting transactions, as assigne.
