Duties/Responsibilities: Manage Bilingual/ESL Programs Drive the academic vision for Tier I ESL instruction for all Emergent Bilinguals Collaborate with the campus administration to select targeted teachers to observe, debrief, and provide feedback to drive EB instructional supports Provide campus and PLC, and/or grade level professional development that is in alignment with the Tier I framework Partner with academic directors and deans to support teachers' use of language objectives to drive social and academic language proficiency across the campus Ensure that instructional programming and curriculum services exist in the Bilingual/ESL programs to meet students' needs as stated in Texas Education Code Present scholar outcome data to academic directors and ML team leadership at least quarterly; evaluate and suggest instructional materials to better meet scholar needs Monitor research and data; suggest and support development of innovative program initiatives to improve the content, sequence, and outcomes of the teaching/learning process Collaborate with MCC to ensure a streamlined ML program across campuses. Documentation and Law Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy; keep abreast of current and impending legislation and recommend instructional changes as needed Monitor and communicate all Bilingual/ESL Title III-related legislation, projects, and programs for grant, entitlement, and allocation opportunities relevant to the needs of the district; manage parent, family, and community engagement as defined by Title II Support the Multilingual Program with identification procedures for all Emergent Bilinguals, as needed Support the Multilingual Program with end-of-year testing for Emergent Bilinguals that may reclassify and/or require progress monitoring, as needed Serve as an LPAC representative in special education ARD committee meetings, as needed.
