Born in 2017 from the kitchen of Danny Meyer's Union Square Cafe in New York City, Daily Provisions is a growing collection of all-day neighborhood cafes with restaurant roots.

Directly reporting to the Vernika Executive Pastry Chef and Vernika General Manager, the role will help develop and execute a wide-ranging menu of dessert items on-premise and aids in the program's overall success.

• Menu Execution: Prepares, cooks, and presents daily menu items and specialized orders efficiently, adhering strictly to recipe specifications, portion controls, and presentation guidelines.
• Shift Wrap-up: Closes, cleans, and sanitizes the station in a timely manner according to strict health codes, while organizing ingredients and prep lists for the following day's production.

As our Lead Cook, you'll take the reins in our seafood kitchen, guiding a small but mighty team, keeping operations running smoothly, and ensuring every plate leaving the kitchen looks (and tastes!) like it came straight from an Italian family table. This role keeps you active and on your feet - moving, reaching, lifting (up to 30 lbs, sometimes more with a little help), and keeping pace in a lively kitchen surrounded by the sizzle of grills and hum of equipment.

Although not skilled in all stations, a Line Cook II is hyper-specialized and has a proven ability to execute all menu items properly from prep to plate and deliver top-quality dishes from two or more stations. As Line Cook II, you thrive in fast-paced environments and positively influence the team by demonstrating highly skilled abilities of two stations and remaining calm during a busy service.
