Essential Functions Conducts behavioral observations, data collection, and analysis to assess student needs Conducts Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develops Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Monitors implementation of behavior plans for fidelity and effectiveness Provides direct support to students through modeling, skill-building, and intervention strategies, as well as coaching staff to implement supports consistently Collaborates with teams to design and implement Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions Collaborates with teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff to address behavioral concerns Provides coaching, modeling, and feedback on evidence-based practices in classroom settings Supports staff in developing consistent, proactive behavior systems Assist in crisis prevention and response planning Supports summer programs through various tasks including but not limited to oversight and hiring Analyzes behavior data to identify trends and inform decision-making Supports district-wide consistency in behavioral practices and expectations Develops and shares tools, resources, and written guidance to support prosocial behavior Provide professionals development on behavior strategies, de-escalation, and trauma-informed practices Supports onboarding and ongoing staff development related to behavior supports Serves as an on-site coach for staff supporting students with significant behavioral needs Partners with families to support student behavior goals across school and home environments Communicates clearly and professionally regarding student progress and strategies Connects families with community resources and supports as appropriate Maintains accurate and timely documentation of behavior plans and interventions Ensures compliance with district policies and state/federal regulations (IEPs, 504 Plans, etc.) Participates in MTSS, PBIS, and other student support meetings Maintains current knowledge of district policies, procedures, and best practices Participates in trainings, meetings, and professional learning opportunities Performs related duties as assigned. Grounded in the belief that behavior is a form of communication, this role focuses on teaching and reinforcing social-emotional and behavioral skills, supporting staff in effective implementation, and building systems that promote safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments.
