With 388 beds it is the second largest of Duke Healths four hospitals and offers a comprehensive range ofmedical, surgical, and diagnostic services, including orthopedics, weight-loss surgery, womens services, and heart and vascular services. Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged times; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 20 lbs., while walking, stooping, bending and reaching.

Professional development / advancement requirement: Continued advancement in this role requires a one (1) year commitment to professional development by enrolling in a progressive career program available through Duke University Health System (e.g., Nursing Care Assistant, Behavioral Health Technician, Medical Assisting), as well as nursing program enrollment options available through Duke University Health System. Location: Duke Raleigh, a Campus of Duke University Hospital 3400 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh, North Carolina Working hours: PRN 1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm Every other weekend Occupational Summary Pharmacy Tech I: This individual performs, under supervision, a variety of duties in accordance to department procedures, which may be related to the procurement, preparation, distribution and storage of drugs, as well as, assisting with clinical pharmacy services according to the Pharmacys role in ensuring safe medication use. Efficient operation and basic level of technical support for specialty machinery, equipment, devices or software necessary in performing job functions (e.g., carousels, automated dispensing cabinets, compounders, drug delivery devices, retail pharmacy systems).
