p>Position Summary The Social Worker performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term, and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. p>The Branch ISD Special Education Department serves students pre-K to age 26 with mild to severe impairments and works closely with the local schools in Branch County to provide: instructional services, hearing and vision services, physical and occupational therapy, speech, psychological, and nursing services. The school social worker develops partnerships within the school and community to ensure that students and families receive access to human services; social services; and mental health supports in order to meet needs and support student achievement.
