This is a long-term temporary role paying up to 100 an hour, may go higher DOE, and it's a great opportunity for someone looking to transition into an in-house litigation role. This is a high-impact litigation role supporting a broad portfolio across toys, entertainment, and consumer products.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: drafting and negotiating licensing and technology agreements, advising on intellectual property issues, supporting M&A and financing transactions, supporting transactions involving new technologies such as AI and blockchain, and advising start-ups and emerging companies on development, manufacturing, and product launch issues. The ideal candidate will also have subject matter expertise in enterprise software, cloud services, outsourcing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, financial technologies and payment systems, mobile applications, e-commerce, interactive entertainment (including games), digital content, and/or hardware.

Why This Role You'll report to the SVP, Global Head of Litigation, collaborate with experienced in‑house litigators across practice areas, and take ownership of impactful litigation in a fast‑paced, business‑focused environment with real decision‑making authority. We are seeking a Senior Litigation Counsel to join our in‑house Litigation Department and support a broad portfolio of toys, entertainment, and other consumer products.

p>For matters which reach litigation (whether CAA is a party or third party), you will identify and engage appropriate outside counsel in coordination with the Deputy General Counsel - Litigation & Employment; manage such outside counsel with respect to the legal work and billing; help research background factual information related to legal issues, including interviewing CAA employees and identifying relevant documents; assist in the preparation of legal documents, including drafting and editing pleadings and correspondence; and coordinating requests from external counsel in furtherance of deposition, trial or arbitration preparation.

CAA's litigation team plays an important part in all aspects of legal proceedings involving CAA by developing litigation strategy, supervising outside lawyers in achieving the company's goals in the most efficient and effective manner, managing document discovery, participating in the drafting and preparation of pleadings and correspondence, and advising on risk management.

The Assurance Senior Manager is responsible for developing suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures as well as advising the client on various economic and regulatory risks in a specific industry field of expertise by identifying financial and non-financial performance measures, formulating and communicating the audit plan, answering complex questions involving GAAP and GAAS and composing technical consultation memos on engagements related to GAAP / GAAS issues.

In this role, the Assurance Senior Manager is charged with marketing, networking, and business development within an area of expertise while maintaining key client relationships and acting as the primary contact for clients regarding complex questions and information.

This 3-month contract role is ideal for an early-career attorney who wants to own commercial contracts, partner with business teams, and make an immediate impact. Work setup: Hybrid preferred (2-3 days onsite); remote considered.
