Skill and Ability to: Write program policies and training manuals; Prepare newsletter, media releases, pamphlets, and bulletins; Maintain statistics; Prepare and deliver oral presentations in front of public groups; Proficiently operate computers, software programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar office software to create documents and other materials, and generate reports; Use English and speak clearly for understanding; Listen carefully to, understand, and effectively communicate through verbal, written, and electronic communication channels; Perform duties to supervisors expectation; Follow verbal and written instructions; Work independently and exercise initiative, with general guidance and supervision; Maintain a professional demeanor at all times; Perform all duties in accordance with City policies and procedures with regard for personal safety and that of other employees and the public. Write program policies and training manuals; Design, write, and produce brochures, visual aids, and other program documents; Prepare pamphlets, media releases, and bulletins regarding crime prevention events; Prepare newsletters; Maintain statistics and prepare reports; Research, provide input, and review proposed City ordinances related to crime prevention; Provide instruction and training to law enforcement agencies and other organizations on crime prevention techniques; Prepare and deliver oral presentations in front of public groups; Coordinate, implement, and evaluate curriculums and other various programs; Research and respond to constituents issues and concerns; Implement public information strategies to project a positive image of the Department and City.
