New Hire Training Academy: Develop, coordinate, and teach the Public Safety Officer (PSO) new hire training academy, including onboarding, core policies and procedures, patrol operations, communications/radio procedures, report writing, legal updates, customer service and de-escalation, emergency response, and required safety skills; administer assessments and remediation plans, document performance, and coordinate schedules, facilities, and subject matter instructors to ensure readiness for field training. Training Delivery: Responsible for conducting and delivering public safety training in classroom and hands-on settings (e.g., ethics, defensive tactics, patrol techniques, report writing, and Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) application); stays current with changes in Public Safety Officer/Florida law enforcement practices, procedures, and state regulations to ensure curriculum relevance.
