Public Information Unit Overview: The Public Information Unit (PIU) is the subject matter expert in various Labor Commissioner's Office (LCO) program areas to interview and provide dedicated consultation services to the public on the phone or in-person (walk-in assistance or appointments) at a local district office regarding newly filed claims, applications and/or reports of labor law violations.
