Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (Transplant) position requiring 18 months of experience and a GA or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Transplant Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a hospital
• Care for post-surgical or medically complex patients transitioning from acute or critical care
• NOC shift schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum 18 months of PCU or intermediate care nursing experience required
• Experience managing post-surgical and medically complex patients
• Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Active license copy required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administer treatments and evaluate patient conditions in coordination with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible, as local candidates are not accepted
• Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days if not falling on or near a holiday, or 3 days if it does, with only one holiday request permitted
• Candidates may only be submitted to one position at a time
