Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, PCU/Stepdown – Spokane, WA 99204

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Spokane, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend required. Patient ratios of 1:3-4. 13-week assignment with 12 hours of orientation.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown position at a 629-bed Level II Trauma Center and teaching facility
• Work with a diverse patient population including cardiac patients requiring drip management, CHF, Afib RVR, post-cardiac catheterization, and traditional medical-surgical patients
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Free parking and professional scrubs in any color
• Opportunity to work in a 42-bed unit with advanced cardiac monitoring and specialized equipment
• Flexibility to choose one major holiday off (Thanksgiving or Christmas)

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or Stepdown nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac drip titration and management (critical requirement)
• Experience managing patient ratios of 4-5 patients
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, vasoactive drip titration, insulin drip management, central line care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Willingness to float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units when overstaffed
• Two professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
