Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Spokane, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend required. Patient ratios 1:3-4. 13-week assignment with 12 hours of orientation.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown position at a 629-bed teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 42-bed unit caring for adults and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, CHF, chest pain, post-cardiac procedures, and medical-surgical patients
• Free parking and professional scrubs of any color permitted
• Opportunity to work in a short-term acute care facility with advanced cardiac care capabilities
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays; choice of either Thanksgiving or Christmas

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or Stepdown nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Essential skill: Ability to titrate and manage cardiac drips (hardstop requirement)
• Experience with patient ratios of 4-5 patients preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, vasoactive drip titration, central line management, chest tubes, and other critical care skills
• Willingness to float to telemetry or medical-surgical floors when overstaffed
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
