Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Surgical Intensive Care Unit – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week. Every Saturday and Sunday day shift, plus one additional weekday each week. 2:1 patient ratios across all shifts. Floating to other units within the organization as needed.

• Advanced procedures including CRRT, bedside trachs/PEGs, invasive monitoring, EVD/ICP monitoring, and FloTrac
• First-time travelers welcome; multiple parking options available ranging from $15.67 to $215 per month

Requirements:

• Current Ohio RN license or valid Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU experience strongly preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Graduate of ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Management of ventilated patients and high-flow nasal cannula
• Arterial line and central line management; PICC line care
• Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
• Continuous IV sedation and vasoactive drip titration
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias
• Care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Post-neurosurgery management, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury care
• BiPAP/CPAP management and procedural sedation monitoring
• Infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE protocols
