Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, Night shift. Contract must extend through January 2, 2027. Every other weekend required.

Highlights:

  • Float to multiple ICU settings based on patient acuity and staffing needs, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, and NCCU
  • Work with a diverse patient population including post-cardiac surgery, transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, heart), and critically ill adults
  • EPIC charting system utilized across all units
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
  • Float policy ensures assignment to units of equivalent or lower acuity
  • Contract length through January 2, 2027 with opportunities for various critical care specialties

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required
  • Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
  • Demonstrated competency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
  • Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
  • Must be available to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing

Core Skills:

  • Arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
  • Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
  • Care of ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP management, and High Flow Nasal Cannula
  • Continuous IV sedation and paralytics management
  • Management of dysrhythmias and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
  • CVA/Acute stroke management and ICP monitoring
  • External ventricular drain (EVD) and lumbar drain experience
  • Post-cardiac surgery care and CABG patient management
  • Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
