Description

Job Opportunity – Cardiac ICU RN – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, night shift. Weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays. Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Friday/Saturday for night shift). Float requirements within units of equivalent or lower acuity level, no more than once every 4 weeks.

  • Cardiovascular ICU specializing in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic patients including CABG, valve repair, TAVR, heart/lung transplant, VAD implantation, and ECMO
  • Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 ensuring quality, individualized care
  • Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • Advanced equipment and procedures including ventricular assist devices, ECMO, CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, and Impella
  • 30-bed unit with 36 hours of orientation provided
  • One pre-approved time-off period available during assignment

Requirements:

  • Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Previous travel experience preferred
  • Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines required
  • Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
  • Ability to complete urgent fingerprinting requirements for Ohio compliance
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
