Nurses will float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity. Positions include neuro ICU, surgical ICUs, medical ICUs, cardiology, diagnostics, and more. Nurses are required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. The role involves managing patients in critical situations with high-level care. Emergency medications and advanced procedures are part of the responsibilities. Experience in managing ventilated patients and telemetry is essential. Candidates should demonstrate skills in interpreting dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. This position requires active participation in an interdisciplinary team that includes various services. Overall, this role demands a high level of adaptability and clinical skill in critical care settings.
