Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)
Highlights:
- Progressive Care Unit specializing in oncology and general medical-surgical patients
- Patient population includes active oncology diagnoses, post-surgical patients, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, and other acute conditions
- Strong focus on cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and critical care skills
- Epic charting system preferred; comprehensive 32-hour orientation provided
- Unit census of 34 patients with 44 beds available
- Opportunity to work with adult and geriatric populations in a specialized care environment
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care nursing experience in Progressive Care, Step-Down, or Telemetry setting
- Active and unrestricted RN license (Compact or Ohio state license)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Previous telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience mandatory
- Demonstrated experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
- Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills
- Experience with isolation precautions, IV management, oxygen administration, and rapid response protocols
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Ability to float within the healthcare system as needed
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or director)
