Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - 1 year of experience required. - Candidates with only 1 year of experience will need manager review for consideration. - Ability to work weekdays, some weekends, and rotating holidays. - Floating to different units may be required. - Call may be required. Description: Looking for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. Successful candidates will rotate shifts between days and nights. This role requires the management of various patient diagnoses, including those needing chronic ventilated patient management and post-lung transplant care. Nurses will be experiencing a patient ratio of 3:1 during day and night shifts. Skills required include non-invasive airway management, management of dysrhythmias, and care for ventilated patients. Nurses will need to understand and perform the interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias. Providing care may include starting and maintaining IVs and managing central lines, PICC lines, and chest tubes. The position requires the use of telemetry for monitoring patients.
