Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week; weekend shifts are Friday and Saturday nights (Sunday is not a weekend night); 2:1 patient ratio
Highlights:
- Specialized Neuro ICU environment caring for stroke, TBI, post-neurosurgery, and complex neurological patients
- Advanced critical care experience with invasive neuromonitoring, EVD/ICP monitoring, and ventilator management
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including RT, PT, pharmacy, rapid response, and lift teams
- Bedside procedures include tracheostomy, PEG, central and arterial line placement, and EVD insertion
- Travel contract with scheduled time off; floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Opportunity to work with a diverse patient population including ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, SAH, seizures, neuromuscular diseases, and meningitis
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
- Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Skills: IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, intracranial pressure monitoring, arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, external ventricular drains, BiPAP/CPAP, and dysrhythmia management
- Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role
