Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays. Float required within the health system as needed.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit specializing in abdominal transplant patients including kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants
• Patient population includes transplant monitoring, rejection assessments, infections, AKI, uncontrolled diabetes, hepatology, and GI bleeds
• Epic charting system utilized facility-wide
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
• Special procedures include kidney biopsy recovery and paracentesis
• First-time travelers welcome; minimum 1 year of experience required

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, stepdown, or telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV management, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with accessing/managing ports, PICC line management, and IV insulin protocols preferred
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required: at least one must be from a manager, director, or formal supervisor
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
