Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week. Every Saturday and Sunday day shift, plus one additional weekday shift each week. Floating and call required as needed.

Highlights:
  • Work in a Level I trauma and burn center serving a tri-state region, providing advanced critical care for complex patient populations
  • Patient population includes trauma, transplant, burn, general surgery, plastic surgery, ENT, colorectal surgery, orthopedic surgery, and overflow medical/neuro ICU patients
  • 2:1 patient ratios across all shifts with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and more
  • Electronic medical record system: Epic; medication dispensing systems include Pyxis/Accudose/Omnicell
  • Specialized procedures include CRRT, bedside trachs/PEGs/bronchoscopy/endoscopy, line placement assistance, and advanced wound care including daily burn dressings
  • First-time travelers accepted; local candidates eligible at the same rate
Requirements:
  • Current Ohio RN license or valid compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
  • Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU experience strongly preferred
  • Trauma Level II experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Two professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role; charge nurse acceptable for second reference
  • Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
  • Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
