Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week (weekend shifts are Friday and Saturday nights; Sunday is not considered a weekend night)

Highlights:

  • Neurological ICU setting with complex patient population including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery patients
  • 2:1 patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, lift teams, and rapid response
  • Epic EMR system in use; prior Epic experience required
  • Bedside procedures include tracheostomy, PEG tube placement, central and arterial line insertion, and EVD placement
  • 13-week travel assignment with opportunity for professional growth in a high-acuity neuro critical care environment
  • Floating may be required to units of equivalent or lower acuity

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) must be in hand at time of submission
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
  • Required clinical skills: IV start and maintenance, telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation, ventilator management, intracranial pressure monitoring
  • Experience with invasive neuromonitoring (EVD, ICP monitoring), mechanically ventilated patients, and EEG monitoring
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
  • Must complete urgent Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
  • Two professional references required: one must be from a manager/director or formal supervisor
